Meet the Founder: Claire Choi – My Journey in Color, Beauty & Fashion


I grew up surrounded by a world of colors. My father, a chemical engineer with 30 years of expertise in ceramic coatings, can determine the exact color mixture needed to match any object’s paint just by looking at it. My mother, an art teacher, nurtured my artistic passion, and I went on to win numerous art awards throughout my childhood.

By the age of 10, I was already exploring fashion magazines and beauty trends, which sparked my lifelong interest in color, fashion, and makeup. I later pursued a degree in Textiles and Clothing at UC Davis to transform that passion into expertise.

With over 13 years of experience in the fashion industry, I’ve specialized in buying, product development, marketing, styling, and vendor management. I’ve worked extensively across fashion, beauty, accessories, shoes, and handbags—carefully evaluating colors, materials, and construction. This background allows me to curate and recommend only high-quality products that align with my aesthetic, my makeup expertise, and my in-depth understanding of color theory.
